Now that everyone has settled comfortably in uni, why not take a Saturday off and join us at our Games Afternoon event? Come along for a fun day of games and socialising at our favourite Lygon cafe, MyCube.



This time around, MoMU will be affiliating itself with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). After all, MoMU is not all about play! Our awesome Activities officers have been in contact with the local NBCF council and will be selling NBCF merchandises on the day, all of which profits go to help NBCF achieve their goals. So why not join us, not only for a day of good fun, but also show your support and make a difference in breast cancer awareness. Committee members will be showing our support by showing up in something pink so it would be great if you guys did the same. Nothing big, just something small like a pink scarf would be just fine. ( no pressure!)

So drop by our MoMU table in Union House to sign up for the Games Afternoon. Table duty starts at 12-2pm everyday. We're hard to miss, just look out for our big Malaysian flag from tomorrow onwards, and will stay open throughout the whole of next week.

MyCube is offering us a special deal of just $10 for one main course and a drink, just for our event. There are four main courses to choose from: Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Beef Rendang and Char Kuey Teow. Don't they just sound so mouth-watering you start to drool? Maybe its just me.

Hurry and sign up as numbers are limited. Do keep in mind that only members who sign up at our MoMU table will get our special $10 voucher deal. Main courses at MyCube usually cost more that $10, without drinks. So this is a deal not to be missed! Not to mention, the first 40 people to sign up will get free snacks during our Games Afternoon. You have to admit, there ain't no other better way to spend your Saturday like the one we've planned out for you!

On Saturday the 7th of March,we hosted our year-opening BBQ.Which was met with a healthy turnout,graced with mellow weather and went by trouble-free thanks to the positive attitude and unwavering commitment of our Activities team.

As a bunch of excitable individuals,clad in bright orange shirts and almost always with a grin-we were happy to meet many first-years,who seemed friendly and confident for the new journey they have just embarked on (totally unlike the nervous,stuttering messes we were when university first started).Also present were fellows from other years and varying courses,and we hope the good food,fun and games and overall enjoyment of the BBQ helped foster new bonds,as to make this foreign soil feel more like home.

As you all know, MoMU's annual FREE Welcome BBQ will be held this very Saturday! Those of you who have not renewed your membership or would like to sign up as a member, come along and we'll settle the paperwork. Don't forget to bring along your friends for some awesome food (cooked just for you guys by our committee members) and great fun!
